Our THRIVE series is one of our newest program offerings and is part of our focus on charity collaboration (COLAB) initiative. It is our way of giving back to the charitable sector that has done so much for us and helped us steward the grace and make the world a better place for all.
The charitable sector is full of incredible people and organizations looking to make an impact and tackle some of the world's most difficult problems. However, in doing so, charities and non-profits are often at the mercy of government funding, running on shoe-string budgets, competing against each other for service delivery, and underappreciated within their communities. As a result, there is a high rate of burnout among employees of the non-profit sector, despite the incredibly selfless and talented workforce that comprise it.
For nearly 30 years, our foundation has relied on countless charities and non-profits to help us make a difference around the world through our philanthropy. Our programming has been developed to help address burnout, promote collaboration, enhance synergy, and create symbiotic connections within the non-profit sector. Our goal is to connect with charity leaders, promote respite and self-care, and offer a giant THANK YOU - all while creating a culture of connectedness and collaboration within our charitable partnerships. To achieve this, we take a very adventurous approach, quite literally!
Our most recent THRIVE series took us to the beautiful backcountry backdrop of Cathedral Lakes Lodge. This iteration of our co-lab focussed on our strategic partners. Known for its rugged backcountry hikes, "off the grid" location, this adventure wasn't for the faint of heart. It was truly truly unique 4 day, extremely concentrated (and sector specific) experience full of team building, outdoor adventure, and idea sharing with some of the brightest minds and biggest hearts from within our charitable partnerships.
Our inaugural REVIVE workshop took place in the fall of 2021 with the beautiful Revelstoke Mountain Resort as a backdrop to an amazing 2 days of adventure, respite, and connection. We had 13 leaders from charities from across British Columbia attend it was truly a weekend to remember!
The Stober Foundation was created to help those in need. We are tremendously blessed to be in the fortunate position to help others, and we are looking to provide support and opportunities for change through our strategic philanthropic partnerships. In doing so, we aim to partner with progressive, game-changing charities with a proven track record and the ability to maximize opportunities and better outcomes, ultimately improving the lives of many through their success. We are here to steward with grace, effectively, and with great impact.
