LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!

Shooting for the STARS!

November 10, 2023

It's another tournament record! For the first time ever, we've hit seven figures!

THANK YOU to all the NHL Alumni, fundraisers, sponsors & donors who made this incredible weekend possible.

On Nov. 4th and 5th some popular Vancouver Canucks of the past took part in a two-day hockey tournament that raised valuable funds for Canucks Autism Network.

The fifth annual CAN Pro-Am returned to North Surrey Sport & Ice Complex where 18 former NHLers played with (and against) amateurs who fundraised for the local charity.

Tourney regulars Morrison, Brad May and Kirk McLean are back, joined by newcomers including Michael Del Zotto, Frank Corrado and Darcy Hordichuk, among others.

To play, the 18 rec teams raise a minimum of $25,000 for CAN, or around $1,500 per player on a roster of 17. Due to “overwhelming interest,” the 2023 tournament was open to returning teams only.

The 2023 fundraising goal was $850,000, up from $750,000 a year ago. However, the event itself miraculously raised north of 1 million dollars between its luncheon, draft night, individual volunteers and the tournament weekend itself!
