Meet the lovely, talented, and inspiring Sandra Stober. Sandra is not just the matriarch of the Stober family, but also the driving force and visionary behind the family’s philanthropy for the past 40 years. She has single handedly helped shape our foundation into what it is today while inspiring her children (Linda, Mark, Carolyn, and Ken), and her thirteen grandchildren, to live meaningful, graceful, and philanthropy-first lives; this is her proudest achievement.
Born in the prairies, Sandra moved to the Okanagan Valley with her late husband, Albert, in the 1960’s to raise a family and pursue their mutual passion for building and development. That family owned business systematically grew, with years of hard work, to become Al Stober Construction, The Stober Group, and Landmark District; a leader in commercial building and development.
While raising her four children, Sandra took the lead and spearheaded philanthropy, developing the framework and culture for our family foundation today. The impact Sandra and her husband have had is hard to quantify. They have built schools and hospitals overseas in developing countries, funded countless social housing projects, and been involved in 40 international humanitarian initiatives that help those in dire need have access to the basic necessities of human life (food, shelter, water, clothing). Sandra is more than just the founder and visionary of our foundation, she is the heartbeat of our family and has forever inspired us with her sincerity, kindness, generosity and grace.
When not in the office, Sandra can often be found on her farm, spending time with her loving family, enjoying a cup of earl grey tea, and visiting the various charities and programs she has directly supported in our community and beyond.
