Meet Keith, the Executive Director and lead philanthropist of the Stober Foundation. Several years ago, Keith connected with the Stober’s through a common passion for philanthropy and a desire to make a positive impact in the Okanagan Valley. Since then, Keith has worked closely with the Stober family to direct, guide, and shape their mutual interests and goals in philanthropy from vision into reality. He is often the on the front lines, dealing with both local and global charities’ initiatives.
Originally from Northern Ontario, Keith came to Kelowna to pursue a PhD from the University of British Columbia. While his undergraduate and master’s degrees focused on both Clinical Psychology and Neurobiology, Keith redirected his academic interests and specialties towards Vascular Physiology, Bariatric Surgery/Medicine, and Metabolism during his post graduate research at UBC and UCLA. After academia, Keith pursued a successful career in the food and nutraceutical industries before discovering his passion in business development and philanthropy.
When not in the office, Keith can usually be found outdoors, in a café, a yoga studio, hiking or possibly somewhere halfway around the world on a random adventure. Tracking him down is an adventure in and of itself! Some of his favourite hobbies include travelling, music, cycling, swimming, running up mountains, yoga, scuba diving, and sampling food/espresso wherever life takes him.
